Bird Academy (BESTT), the education arm of Bird Group, a travel and hospitality conglomerate has been honoured with the prestigious ‘Premier Circle award’ for 2020 by IATA. Bird Academy is a pioneer in designing curriculum, developing content and conduct of training and vocational programs, with a focus on facilitating employment opportunities in the burgeoning sectors of aviation, travel and tourism. This is a recognition of the tremendous value that Bird Academy brings to the aviation industry by training and developing skilled personnel.
More than 450 IATA global training partners are evaluated every year on several evaluation metrics and select criteria, such as the quality of training delivered determined by the high graduate success rate, the number of students trained, and many other factors. Also measured is the growth in enrolments vis-à-vis the previous year. In 2019, Bird Academy achieved impressive results, demonstrated professionalism in delivering IATA programmes and showed a continuing commitment to student training. Premier Circle award for 2020 is an acknowledgement of the same.

For excellence in delivering IATA training programs and achieving great results, Bird Academy has been receiving the South Asia’s Top Performing Authorised Training Center (ATC) for the last nine consecutive years and South Asia’s Top Performing Accredited Training School (ATS) for four consecutive years owing to its high graduate success rate.
In 2018, Bird Academy became the first and only Regional Training Partner of IATA in India. Bird Academy as a RTP now offers training of global standards, within India at reasonable cost. The Academy delivers classroom trainings which cover the full spectrum of the aviation industry. Regarded as a benchmark in the aviation industry, these training courses are imparted by IATA instructors and are widely recognised across the globe. Being the first and only RTP in the country, Bird Academy profoundly resonates the Government’s vision of making India a global aviation hub.
Approximately 5000 students are certified from Bird Academy every year. The Academy is proud of an excellent record of placements of students across airlines, airports, travel agencies, travel portals and IT industry.
